When I decided to take a job in a new town, I knew there were going to be downsides for the kids. Nobody likes to move from one side of the country to the other. It’s even worse for kids though. Their whole world is suddenly pulled out from under their feet. The worst part is that they don’t have any friends in the new area. However, I found a way to make things just a bit better for them. This came in the form of my discovery of an advertisement of water slides for sale. I knew that this would go a long way to cheering up my kids. However, what I did’t expect was the lure which one of these could have for the neighborhood. It wasn’t long after buying it that I found kids lining up from all over the block to get a chance at it. Saying that my kids suddenly were happy both for the slide, and the free ride to celebrity status, is an understatement.
